Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and [Company details to be confirmed] (“we”, “us”), the provider of All in Hand. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. The service

All in Hand is a digital household handbook. It lets you record the important, practical information a household relies on, upload documents and photographs, set reminders, share precisely scoped parts of your handbook with people you choose, and ask an AI assistant questions answered only from your own stored data. An optional zero-knowledge Secrets Vault holds your most sensitive credentials under stronger protection.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract to use All in Hand. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure, for activity under your account, and for the accuracy of the information you provide. Children do not have their own accounts.

4. Subscriptions, free trial and billing

All in Hand is offered on subscription tiers with monthly and annual prices. New households start with a 7-day free trial with full functionality and no card required. Your trial state and countdown are shown in the app.

At the end of the trial we will ask you to subscribe. Payments are taken through Stripe; your card details are entered with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. You can update your card, change plan, view invoices and cancel at any time through the Stripe customer portal.

Cancellation, renewal reminders and export. Cancelling is as easy as signing up, and we send renewal reminders before you are charged, consistent with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2025. If a subscription lapses, your household enters a read-only grace period — we never hold emergency-critical information hostage over a failed payment — and we offer a guaranteed export before any deletion.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service unlawfully, or to store or share unlawful content;
• attempt to breach or probe our security, access other households’ data, or disrupt the service;
• use the service to harass, harm, or unlawfully surveil another person, or to record data you have no proper basis to hold; or
• upload malware or attempt to reverse-engineer the service except as the law allows.

6. Your content and other people’s data

You keep ownership of the content you add. You grant us the limited permissions we need to store, encrypt, process and display it to you and the people you choose, and to provide the features you enable, as described in our Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for information you record about other people (for example a cleaner’s pay, a relative’s medical details, or a neighbour who holds a key). You must have a proper basis to record it, record it responsibly, and honour requests from those people where appropriate. This is particularly important for health information and for anything concerning children.

7. The Secrets Vault — zero-knowledge, and what that means

The vault is end-to-end, zero-knowledge encrypted. All encryption happens on your device and we never hold the keys that decrypt your vault. This gives you the strongest possible protection, but it has an unavoidable consequence you must understand and accept:

Your recovery kit is your responsibility. When you set up the vault we help you print a recovery kit and ask you to verify it. Keep it safe (for example with your will). Losing it, together with your passphrase and trustees, means permanent loss as described above.

8. Emergency access and continuity

You can nominate trustees who may jointly request access if you are incapacitated or have died, subject to the approvals, time delays and owner-veto safeguards you configure. On death, a defined workflow supports memorialisation (a read-only freeze), a curated view for the bereaved, and, with proper proof of authority, executor access to the handbook.

The vault remains subject to section 7: without surviving keys or trustees able to reach the required approvals, vault contents cannot be recovered, even by an executor. These continuity provisions interact with probate and succession law and are a placeholder pending professional legal drafting.

9. Not legal, medical or financial advice

All in Hand is an organisational tool. It stores what you tell it and is not a source of legal, medical or financial advice, and not a substitute for a professional or for the emergency services. Information you store may be out of date — health-critical fields carry “last verified” timestamps, and you should keep them current. In an emergency, always call 999. For medical questions contact your GP, NHS 111, or 999 as appropriate.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.

The remaining scope and limits of our liability are a placeholder and will be finalised by a solicitor before launch.

11. Termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms or where we are required to by law. On termination the subscription-lapse, grace, export and erasure arrangements in section 4 and in our Privacy Policy apply.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date and, where appropriate, tell you directly. These terms were last updated on 19/07/2026.
